The name MEGGLE has been associated with dairy excellence, Bavarian tradition, and aspirational expansion for many years. However, beneath the news articles and market data were two people named Toni and Marina Meggle who shared a vision for a business that could change without becoming less of itself. Although Toni was frequently in the public eye, Marina was incredibly successful at influencing choices from the background.

Her presence at the MEGGLE Foundation has always felt consistent, especially considerate, and never showy. In addition to supporting her husband, she was guiding organizational changes, developing strategy, and guaranteeing long-term viability in her role as vice chairwoman. Marina had a vision instead of a title.

When the Meggles made a calculated move in 2019 that surprised many of their peers—giving ownership of MEGGLE to a foundation—that goal became incredibly evident. This tactfully revolutionary action maintained the company’s autonomy while incorporating accountability into its governance framework. The decision was not made in response. It was the outcome of years of thoughtful consideration, molded by common ideals and a determination to avoid letting immediate profits overshadow long-term management.

The pair reaffirmed their commitment to continuity by handing over authority to the MEGGLE Foundation. Although not yelled from podiums, Marina’s contribution to this process was generally recognized by everyone involved in the decision-making process. She posed queries that others hadn’t thought of. She looked the results from a generational perspective. Her voice contributed to the foundation’s dual goal of social responsibility and entrepreneurial excellence.

She was renowned for her calm yet incisive observations during internal leadership sessions. According to a former MEGGLE executive, Marina frequently took a moment at the conclusion of presentations to summarize the most important points, not because she hesitated. She never rattled or hurried. The Foundation itself adopted that subdued discipline as its guiding principle.

The death of Toni Meggle was both a significant turning point for the company and a profoundly personal change for the family. Already well-versed in the system of governance, Marina assumed the position of Chairwoman. Because of her preparedness and her ability to command trust without demanding attention, the shift was remarkably seamless.

I recall thinking at the time how uncommon these kinds of changes are. Few succession plans are carried out with such emotional clarity, not because they don’t exist—they frequently do. Her leadership didn’t seem fleeting or symbolic. It felt well-deserved.

MEGGLE is still thriving today. The company is well-established internationally, employing over 2,600 people across 21 companies. Surprisingly, though, it still has its roots in Wasserburg am Inn, a town that has managed to preserve its unique character. Scaling internationally while maintaining cultural ties is a complex balancing act that reflects the values Marina has worked to uphold.

She emphasizes resiliency above noise. She invests in people, systems, and gradual strength, while others would seek quick money or radical transformation. Corporate theater and charm are not the foundation of her leadership approach. It is based on trust and continuity.

She has significantly strengthened the Foundation’s governance stance through strategic vision, making sure that choices are in line with both heritage ideals and market demands. The MEGGLE brand has not only endured but has gracefully grown under her leadership. Employees in particular report feeling exceptionally cherished, which is uncommon in companies this size.

Interviews and business memoirs will not be used to write her legacy, which is continually developing. It will be demonstrated by how MEGGLE maintains its independence, how its culture endures, and how upcoming executives inherit not just a company but also a philosophy.
