In a ceremony that seemed incredibly deliberate, Alexis Bellino and John Janssen exchanged vows tucked among Laguna Beach’s cliffs. This October party, which prioritized emotion over opulence, had a surprisingly grounded elegance, far from the theatrical intensity of her Real Housewives background.

Although the term “rustic chic” may seem overused, it was appropriate in this instance. The wedding, which was situated between seaside breezes and canyon cliffs, blended elegant accents with organic textures. The location lived up to Bellino’s description of it as a “secret garden by the ocean.” Warm colors, delicate flowers, and a simple ceremony design all mixed in perfectly with the surroundings.

The pair made it clear that this was about building a shared life rather than just themselves by putting their kids front and center. While Janssen’s children attended the event and were given personalized wristbands, Bellino’s three children escorted her down the aisle. This mixing of families was very poignant and gave the day a deeper meaning than merely aesthetic beauty.

Interestingly, throughout the evening, Alexis donned three different outfits. Her first, a glistening, jewel-encrusted gown designed by Julie Hurt, was notably lacking in the traditional bridal white and took six months to complete. She talked about how she felt like a diamond walking to her future husband. She later switched to a form-fitting silhouette before dancing and cutting the cake in a short, flowy dress. Each change contributed to the night’s emotional cadence in addition to being a fashion statement.

One of the few Bravo guests present, Tamra Judge, described it as “one of the most romantic, spiritual weddings I’ve ever seen.” From someone who has seen dozens of high-production weddings, both on and off camera, that is remarkably high praise. Her remark demonstrated how carefully this event had been planned to prioritize authenticity over appearances.

In December 2024, Bellino and Janssen became engaged after just nine months of dating. The timeframe may have seemed hurried to critics. However, naysayers were soon silenced by their public affection and common vision. They invited people into something genuine by sharing candid posts about their journey, which included everything from humorous Las Vegas vacations to rocky dress trials.

Before the wedding, a single, inconspicuous moment was discreetly posted on Instagram. After a tough day of preparation, Bellino shared a photo of John massaging her feet. It wasn’t glitzy. It wasn’t filtered. However, it said a lot. She wrote, “Girls, set your standards high.” “Avoid settling.” Maybe more than a fancy dress or a big entrance, that one post had an especially powerful effect.

The event remained flexible and intimate by including a magician, a seafood bar, and even a personalized hat station for attendees. Nothing seemed prefabricated. Everything seems to have been thoughtfully selected to capture the couple’s common interests and ideals, from the taco station to the violinist’s set list.

This wedding provided a more delicate storyline than viewers of The Real Housewives of Orange County could have anticipated. Previously, the tabloids were captivated by Janssen’s association with Shannon Beador. Nevertheless, Bellino chose a notably moral stance rather than embracing controversy. The celebration was forward-looking and grounded in honesty, with little reference to the drama of the past.

Amazingly, the whole event was executed without the hoopla that frequently accompanies high-profile gatherings. There were no glossy magazine exclusives, no camera crews, and no Bravo tie-ins. Just a woman choosing joy, a family, and a garden.

Bellino may have easily veered toward grandeur or defensiveness while thinking back on her past. However, she didn’t. Rather, she leaned toward grace. And by doing this, she made it possible for this new chapter to begin in a courteous, calm, and incredibly successful manner.

This event was notable for its closeness amid a media cycle that was dominated by spectacle and soundbites. Even the number of guests, about 140, seemed deliberately limited. The couple was clear about what they wanted: more purpose and less noise.
